Afterglow was formed as a two membered band in 1995 in Mezőkövesd, Hungary, and was among the few who stood for the so-called melodic death metal style which was being evolved at that time. Their first demo “Holy Faces” released in 1996. Later they were completed with a bass player and a vocalist and made their second demo “Before the Dreams Become Corrupt” in 1997 in a more conventional style.
